Program helps shape our youth
To the editor:
I just wanted to take the opportunity to recognize Director Kim Taylor, the staff and the administrators of the Horizon Kids after school program, for all their efforts and dedication in shaping the youth of our community.
As a parent of twins who have attended Horizon Kids for three school years, to include summers, I could not be more grateful for all that the staff has done to assist in developing my children.
I have seen a dramatic improvement in my children’s academic and social performance, all thanks to the wonderful folks at Horizons.
In particular, I would like to recognize Barbara Galliart and her team at Henry Leavenworth Elementary. My family and I will be forever grateful for all that they do to make our children better each day.
From homework assistance to being a positive role model, we have the upmost trust and confidence that Barbara Galliart will guide them in the right direction while keeping their success at the forefront.
There are not enough words of praise for this fine program.
As a community, we need to recognize that there is an amazing program, staffed by amazing people, dedicated to the betterment of our youth.
The success of this program will only continue with steadfast support from the Leavenworth community and a staff that envisions a brighter tomorrow for our students.
To the staff of Horizons, thank you for all that you do.
I hope your lives are forever filled with the same joy and happiness that you have given our children.
