Jobs in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) are expected to grow 17 percent in the United States by 2018, but less than 20 percent of students are choosing STEM-related paths. It’s estimated that the U.S. might be short by 3 million high-skilled workers in 2018.

Since 2007, the Motorola Solutions Foundation has provided over $40 million in education grants to elementary, secondary and post-secondary STEM programs.

Applications for the Innovation Generation Grants for science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education programs are accepted from January through February. Applications for Public Safety Grants are accepted from February through March.
